New features and enhancements

Following are the new features and enhancements for this release.

Server-side

Release 10.1 (Beta)

  • IBM WebSphere® Application Server Liberty Core 25.0.0.9 support

    The PMF now supports IBM WebSphere® Application Server Liberty Core 25.0.0.9.

  • Open Liberty

    The Persistent Mobile Foundation now supports Open Liberty 25.0.0.9 with MySQL Version 8.0.43.

  • Spring Framework 6.2.14

    The PMF now uses Spring Framework 6.2.14. For more information, see Adapter readiness checklist.

  • OpenJDK 21

    The PMF now supports OpenJDK 21. This requires Adapter recompilation/updates.

  • Application Center mobile client

    The PMF Application Center mobile client now supports,

    • Apache® Cordova Android 9.1.0 with iOS 8.0.0 as the operating system
    • Xcode 26.1.1 with iOS 26.1 as the operating system
    • Xcode 16.4 with iOS 18.5 as the operating system

Release 10.0

  • OpenSearch

    OpenSearch Version 3.1 has replaced Elasticsearch as the main search and analytics suite used by PMF Analytics. So, before you run PMF Analytics, you need to set up a standalone OpenSearch cluster. For more information, see OpenSearch.

    For sizing recommendations for your OpenSearch cluster, use the Hardware sizing calculator Microsoft™ Excel spreadsheet.

    To migrate the tenant-specific data from an Elasticsearch instance to an OpenSearch instance, use the Analytics Data Migration tool. For more information, see Migrating Elasticsearch data to OpenSearch.

  • Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform (ROCP)

    PMF now supports Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform Version 4.19.

  • Open Liberty™

    The Persistent Mobile Foundation now supports Open Liberty 25.0.0.6 with MySQL Version 8.0.43. For more information, see System requirements - Application servers.

Software Development Kits (SDKs)

Release 10.1 (Beta)

  • .NET MAUI SDK

    The PMF now supports .NET MAUI SDK with .NET Version 10.0.103.

  • React Native

    The PMF now supports React Native 0.82 as follows.

    • Android platform: Target SDK version API Target SDK Version API 36
    • iOS platform: Xcode 26.1 with iOS 26.1
  • iOS SDKs

    The PMF now supports the iOS SDKs with Xcode 26.1.1 on an iOS 26.1 operating system.

Release 10.0

  • PMF Flutter SDK

    The PMF now supports Flutter SDK with Flutter Version 3.19.0.

    icon Note:  This Flutter SDK integration is backward compatible with the PMF Release 9.0.3.

  • Google 16 KB memory page size support

    Android SDKs now support the Google 16 KB memory page size architecture to ensure compatibility with the latest Android devices that ship with 16 KB memory page size support. To implement this enhancement, PMF upgraded the Android Native code that also impacts PMF Base and PMF JSONStore SDK. For more information, see JSONStore - Key features.

  • Android Native SDK - HTTP PATCH method

    The Persistent Mobile Foundation now supports Android Native SDK with the HTTP PATCH method. For more information, see WLResourceRequest.

Security fixes

Release 10.1 (Beta) - 1 Critical and 17 High vulnerabilities fixed.

Release 10.0 - 7 Critical, 60 High, 47 Medium, and 5 Low vulnerabilities fixed.

Known issues

Release 10.1 (Beta)

Following is the list of the known issues.

  • PMF Operations Console and Analytics console

    Log files report SSL certificate–related errors after certificates are added to the trust.p12 file.

  • Analytics log files

    Post-migration, the PMF Analytics console logs report exceptions related to Alert definitions.

  • Devkit README

    For configuring HTTPS for the PMF Analytics console, refer the steps documented under the PMF Operations Console.
